-Terra will either be with Vanessa or in the barracks on the dark path, not both at once.
-Charmike is accessible. Useless, but accessible
-Fixed a few block events in Western Rata map
-Noemi will appear at the right time in the grove
-Increased the speed of the tentacle ambush in eastern mines. Should happen more reliably now. Should also be a retroactive fix.

If you have any issues with the jungle orc village please uninstall your current rtp and redownload it. I believe that issue was caused by an update the was released in secret.
RTP - All RPG maker games must use the right RTP. You must download
the VX rtp and install it or Harem will crash. And if Harem crashes
uninstall and reinstall the RTP. 99% of missing files crashes are due
to no RTP or a corrupted RTP

ReplyDeleteI believe that there is a bug in the mines. There is a story scene where four tentacles ambush you in an un-winnable battle and rape one of your party but it doesn't trigger.
ReplyDeleteHow old of a version are you using? It's been a pack of 7 atm and I just did it myself to confirm that it works. I think it's been 7 for 4-5 patches now.
DeleteYes, I confirmed that it works, but it sometimes doesn't trigger immediately and at any place in the cave, you have to go straight and be on the track in order for the scene to trigger, sometimes the tentacles appear only as two. Also, there is another bug where on the dark path, when getting Noemi back from Cecelia, the game crashes on a scene before Ariel and Cecelia go into the dungeon holding Noemi. It work on the Light path but has been crashing on the Dark path.

DeleteCindy: A different kind of interview (I definitely viewed this scene at least twice but it doesn't register in the CG Mode.
The Cecilia crash is odd. It's the exact same event on both paths. Might just be an individual corruption, anyone else seen that issue? Give me a save so I can look at it.
DeleteOn the military discipline issues. Try stopping by the hut near the train town one step later. Go to Temple Mons. Go back to your base. Before attacking the enemy base see if it appears. I may have it triggered one step later than I had planned.

Found another strange bug. Talking to Rhea when she is in my bedroom causes game to crash. Strange because I did everything exactly as I did the first time and nothing happened to me then.

Hey Ker, I found a strange solution to this problem. I extracted a brand new Harem folder with nothing done to it, then transfered the cg.save and the save files over, then played the scenes again and they worked. You should check your programming because it probably changes something in the files that causes the game crashes.
DeleteHaven't heard of any other issues like this, so I think those problems are local. Could of either been a failed installation or that your hard drive is failing and occasionally sending bad data into the game. RPG VX is somewhat sensitive to those.

Also make sure that you've refreshed your RTP since July. There was a stealth patch in it and it's been causing a lot of random issues in this release if you haven't updated.
DeleteTo the earlier post about 'Not Military Discipline for sure', the scene you get after defeating the convent is the potion scene from the mine, not the 'Not Military Discipline for sure' scene.

DeleteI can't seem to find any orc patrol in the Goblin/Orc Alliance quest. Just rats and spiders. I wondered around enough to have clients arrive at the brothel half a dozen of times and yet no orc appeared.
ReplyDeletethe monsters you mentioned make me think you're in the wrong area. after you've beaten the goblins and blown through the rocks you need to search for them in the forest north of the mountain range. if you're not in the forest you'll find the enemies from south of the range.
Deletei think it is theoretically possible for you to never find the orcs but the chances of that are incredibly low and you should generally find them fairly easily.

It's possible. There was a variety of encounter issues involving the mines. 0.6b bypasses those by not using the built in encounter system. Except there. So it's completely possible for that to happen. I know a way to solve it but probably won't implement it until 6c
DeleteAnother bug; getting Terra while light and then being dark when you hit fortress of the sands means you never get the cut scene with her there; Samantha never mentions her and she just hopes more people get saved. no idea if the reverse is also true.
ReplyDeletePlaying the middle isn't supported and the game can get goofy if you cross over at the wrong time. I'll have to take a look at the code though.
DeleteI'm also not sure how to get Phoebe's second brothel scene. do i have to walk more before visiting? the first scene for everyone has worked fine but I haven't been able to get her second one.

ReplyDeleteI've got another bug. It happened when I played in your 0.6b 7 patch.
In the very start, when you visit Cindy's slaver and recieve her quest (unlock the collar) you can go to item\armor shop and get the key, or do it later.
If you are doing it now, then it's normal, no bugs.
If you are doing it later (my game: Donna(light)->Samantha(light)->Sarah->Terra->complete Terra quest(Dark)->did I forgot something? wait, OH SHI~..) you can't get the key, because shop npc don't talking to you (just buy\sell menu). Then, if you open the brothel (of course without Cindy's help) you will see Cindy on her place in the brothel.
Still, you can find her tent and get the message, that you need the way to unlock the collar.

Noemi won't appear in the fortress of the sands even after going through the jail scene and clearing (what i think is) caverns1. i've gotten to the room with the double door that leads to the shrine and the split to the right. responding to one of my earlier comments you said that middle ground isn't supported but i didn't have this issue the last time i ran through and played similarly. have i not gone far enough or is something potentially bugged? i can upload saves if you want.

You have to clear the first area of the caves, not the mines. Essentially the first segment going north rather than east.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trust any version before 0.6b.3 to patch from, and that even isn't that solid. From that length just download the full game and over-write all files.
Deleteforgot to mention this earlier: shift is still the skip text key in battle. don't really care if you leave it or not.
ReplyDeleteI have been working through again to see if anything new was added in the first half of the game, and I noticed a few oddities.
ReplyDeleteAs Ker has said, Noemi requires the first caves to be completed, however she still has a Tentacle Assault CG in the gallery. From what I have seen, the order of when Noemi escapes prison makes it impossible to access this CG. (I actually have this unlocked due to an older save, but I noticed that I could not access it again)
Second issue, and this one isn't huge; Noemi is showing on the list of candidates for Tentacle Offering, but when accessed it creates a scene with Terra, but Noemi is the name used through the scene rather then Terra. Terra is also an option in the menu for this.
Just thought I would point out these minor issues, in case they need to get fixed (or possibly in case the scene for the second isn't finished yet?)
