Alright, lets try this again. Harem 0.6a.2 released. Entirely a bug-fix versions.
Bugs squashed
-Donnie/Tomas not appearing on the tram
-Freezes in the Corsix tunnels
-Danielle vanishing from the Convent
-Ulya sending you to your room alone
-Jessica resisting the focus buff
-CG for Melony playing for Kathleen
-A few typos/face issues
All of these should be retroactive and work with existing saves.
Things brought back
-Health bars and location reports. The community has spoken!
Bugs not fixed
-The step counter script error. I don't know how to script in Ruby at all, and my normal script wizard is on summer vacation (Europeans...) Unfortunately the script is vital for the way the brothel works, and the 0.6a content overall and would be a massive undertaking to program around it.
The error seems most commonly associated with using the f12 key while playing. I'm not sure what it does, I've never used it, nor had the script error. Maybe in the future that can be addressed. Until then, stop pressing the f12 key.

im encounting a bug in the corsix mines now i get this error when im going to attack a mob.

and it just closes down.

Deleteim using 06a1's game R2dll ting when im on a mob encoutering map and then im using 06a2's for all the rest. i know its not a perm fix but its a temp fix that requires a lot of saving and copy past but... u get to see it all without errors.

ReplyDeleteGreat work, ker! Can I make an request? I've seen some RPGMaker games that allows you to remove the dialogue box by left-clicking it, or something similar. Would it be possible to implement this in Harem? It is kind of annoying having a third of the CG images covered with text. :(

DeleteThe game freezes when doing sarah's route in the trials you can go to the prison and get the SM scene and you can blow the man in jail but u can't talk to the mans father to begin the quest.

I have gone through the dark route and after the trial I never get my party members back, I am assuming this is not normal?
ReplyDeleteThe same, after the tram I could only walk around with the MC, nobody else in the part. Dark Path, guilty verdict, fight-less mode.
DeleteSame for me. I thought it was normal, initially, but then this stupid Melony or whatever is chasing me all around the map and the only thing I can do is run (escape) when she finds me. And it seems close to impossible to continue the game in this way...
DeleteA little bit unlcear as to what this bug actually is. Are you saying that after the trial (innocent or guilty verdict?) that Angelica, Jessica, and Tomas or Donnie doesn't join?
DeleteThat is exactly what happened on mine. Angelica, Jessica and Tomas, did not join my party after the trial, I just had Ralph in the party. My run through was a guilty verdict on the Evil story line.
DeleteYes, there's only the main character in the party. They do show up for cut-scenes, and as talkable NPCs, but not in combat. I was able to complete the plot on the 'easy' mode, but soloing Mellody on 'normal' is probably rather tricky...
Delete_ The game freezes when I enter the section of mines where it has found a wall of flames just after the party for having saved corsix.
ReplyDelete_ The backup version 0.6a.1 causes a crash of the game Version 0.6a.2 when the fighting started, probably because of the return of the enemy health bars during combat.

I get the same bug, after i defeated the tentacle boss and go to the section of the cave where the wall of flames it instantly freezes preveting any advance.

I have both these problems as well. New save fixed the crashing but it freezes when I enter the east corsix mines after beating the boss

ReplyDeleteOne thing Harem is not is a professional development. Nor am I a programmer by any stretch of the imagination. The combat script had never caused an issue before, so I assumed that it would still work.

DeleteI've noticed a few times, even if you change your name people will occasionally still call you Ralph.
ReplyDeleteIf you can point out those times for me, it would be great. I have to use a special command to display the characters name (/n[1]) and I wasn't thinking of that initially. So there's a bunch of times where I have to switch out 'Ralph' for \n[1].

ReplyDeleteSure, I use the 3dcg program then just resize the image to fit VX. Hongfire has a few threads on it's usage.
Deletefound a bug....when you get out of the train and vanessa tells you to run you can walk in the rails and reach her again.when you do that the scene repeats but the game feezes right after it.you should make the rails unwalkable in the next update a guess

DeleteFirst thing I did when entering W. Corex was go in the prison and try to free Noemi with Phoebe's help. After I unlock the cell and tell her to come meet me at base she just hangs there for the rest of the game. Dark path btw.
ReplyDeleteYou have to give her time to escape. Go into the caves and complete Tentacle cave #1 and then go back to your room in the base. But you'll crash on combat until 0.6a.3, so hold off for a bit.
