With 48 hours and nearly 800 downloads, I'm upgrading 0.6a.3 to the final release of 0.6a. There are two known bugs with the release, neither serious enough to warrant a 0.6a.4.
Known bugs
-Pressing f12 will crash the game. Solution : Don't press f12.
-Re-entering the Jungle-orc camp after getting Fenja can freeze the game. There is no content in that area after getting her, so again the solution is not to do it.
On Saturday August 11th I'll upload the game to mediafire and re-enable the email address to auto-reply. Exact instructions will come at that time.
I'll have the 0.6a CG pack up by the end of today.
This is the time where I normally need a bit of a break, so don't expect to hear much from me for the next few days/weeks. When I get re-energized and start work on 0.6b I'll post again.

like alwas good job i just cannot wait 0.6c to be released already i hope it will be soon cause 0.6a.3 wasn't with enogh new content for my opinio but agian awesom game keep up the good work. the only bug i found was that the game return the changed name of the mmain character to ralf when you get to the new content.

ReplyDeleteA quick question: i dont know much about game versions, so whats the difference between 0.6a and 0.6b?
As i understand from his previosly post's its just him splitting the update 0.6 up in three pieces: a, b and c so that we get smaller but more frequent updates so in stead of one big update every 8th month or so we get smaller ones every 2-3 month instead
DeleteThat is accurate. Overall development time for 0.6 would of been 4-6 months at least, and I didn't want to wait that long before updates. So I broke it up into smaller chunks.

ReplyDeleteI like collecting slaves and pursuing side quests, so I wasn't really enthusiastic about the linear narrative and the inability to swap out party members; I liked earlier parts of the game better. In fact, I replayed the earlier parts of the game a couple of times over the past few days. Some really good stuff there!
ReplyDeleteOne nitpick on the earlier game; I do think it's a little too hard to be dark. You get a light side point in the jungle orc village for letting a guy out of a cell so he can be your unpaid guard? Really? Only a hero would rescue someone at no cost for great personal benefit? I think there should instead be more choices that benefit you but give you dark side points; there should be more events like the option to whore out Samantha in the Eleen inn. Evil is supposed to tempt you. Such tempting events seem to disappear as the game goes on, for no good reason I can see.
Harem will open up to the usual structure, starting in 0.6b and finishing in 0.6c.
DeleteI've been trying to make the dark path a bit more interesting and consistent over time. The goblin/orc sidequest is not something that I've done much with (it was coded by Deloir) but I'll take a look at it.
Any other places where the dark path seems to be a bit too much chaotic evil over common sense? Definitely not what the dark path is supposed to be.
Sorry Ker, but I really must have torrent downloading available given that all of the downloader sites will commonly give me download interruption problems.
ReplyDeleteI should also mention that I have a relatively new modem & router so I don't believe they are the problem for my downloading problems given that my torrents download rather quickly when there are anywhere from 5 - 20 seeders.
I feel for your gaining of small amounts of $$ as your share from those sites, but unfortunately even BitShare gives me download problems. I won't deny this is partly due to my use of the free download option from those sites, but given my own lack of funds (as I'm unemployed) I can't use the premium membership versions of the download, which might help, but I can't afford it.
Have you tried the mediafire link yet?

And on the note of your game you inspired me to start my own game.I thought I love This Game there should be more games like this one! but try as I might there just where are not many out there in the free fan made category so I thought I should help fix that and make my own.Keep up the good work!

It's not a script, just an event.

-Create random number 1-10
-If number = 1 then
-sleep alone
-break loop
-If Samantha is in party then
-If number = 2 then
-sleep with Samantha
-break loop
-If Donna is in party then
-If number = 3 then
-sleep with Samantha
-break loop
etc
Essentially each character has a number. The event checks to see if the character is in the party and then if they're number is rolled. If so, they have sex. If not, it just keeps on checking, if nobody rolled both, then the event loops to roll a new number and try again until it succeeds. Just make sure that no matter the party composition, the event will find a way to end eventually.
I'd be glad to play what you've created, but I understand the time commitment that a tester requires and I do not have that. But I'll play, give you some feedback and answer questions sure.
Other good games similar to this one. Elysium, Despair Labyrinth, Granleon, Emmerzail, rapequest. I really need to update the links at the bottom one of these days.

ReplyDeleteI seem to be unable to get the jungle orc village to appear i have killed nearly 10 groups of j-orcs and still no village (the wiki says about 3). I am on the light path and I have not gone into the mines yet.

ReplyDeleteJust as the player enters the tram after the trial, the player's name is forced to Ralph and appears as Ralph in the character menu.
Just before the tram (in the inn) the player's name is still preserved as the name the player chose.

Alright. There is a script called in the tram to reset the characters stats (none of the adjustments I had made prior were retroactively effective) and I guess it reset the name as well. I'll make an event to let you rename the character in 0.6b.

DeleteDuring the trial arc, if while playing as Rhea, you pick up Ulya, then give up, the next character you go out with will have Ulya as a party member (or Ralph, if it is an intermission next)

ReplyDeleteThey should be off to the right on the screen. My only guess is that if you're running some kind of no-script add-on that may be preventing them from showing.
Deleteok i was a little sad when the game was like thankyou for playig harem Blah Blah Blah at like the crucial stage of the game right before they got to the temple mons i literally was almoust bout to take my comp and throw it accross the room and say f my comp cause the story actually like pulls the hook line and sinker move on you the whole game as in it basically keeps your mind thinking whats next so yeah but i beat 0.6a.3 im not sure if it is the upgrade but i know you cant go back to the burning village or the orc camp so it might not be but i really wanna see the next part also it should definetly be able to let you carry over your save data from the first part cause i really dont feel like starting over but keep up the good work the game is amazing great story line you could make some money off this game once its finished but my recomendation is that you keep the game going for as long as possible
